Alumni in New York - Register Now!
What Is Columbia Community Outreach?
Columbia alumni around the world are invited to connect with their fellow alumni and serve their local communities on Global Community Outreach Day. The effort is sponsored by the CAA and inspired by Columbia Community Outreach, an event started by Columbia College students in 1997 to bring students, faculty, staff, and alumni together for a day of volunteering in New York City.
CAA's CCO in New York City
Columbia Community Outreach in New York starts either on campus with Opening Ceremonies or with a breakfast reception at the Columbia University Club of New York in midtown. Upon registering, alumni can choose either location and will go to that meeting point at the beginning of the day. You will be assigned a project upon arrival on campus or at the Club, and proceed with a group of alumni and in some cases students to a nearby park, school, community center, or other volunteer base. When travel is required, a metro card will be provided.
CAA's CCO Around the World
This year, alumni clubs across the globe are arranging their own volunteer projects on the same day as hundreds gather in New York City. To learn if an alumni club near you is participating, or if you would be willing to organize a project for your local alumni group, please email Emily Morris.
