Alumni Access to Morningside Campus

Alumni can now register for same-day access to the Morningside campus using the online registration portal.

To register, you will need your UNI and password with multifactor authentication (MFA) enabled.

  • Don’t know your UNI/password? Use this tool to look up your UNI and reset your password. For further assistance, contact the Alumni Center Team at 212-851-7800 or [email protected]

  • Need to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)? Follow these instructions. For further assistance, reach out to CUIT for support at 212-854-1919 or [email protected].

Please note: Please note: Morningside campus access registration is not available to graduates of Barnard College, Teachers College, and Jewish Theological Seminary. Alumni of Columbia’s 17 schools may register themselves for campus access but are not able to register guests at this time.

Alumni Access to Libraries

Once on campus, alumni can use their Community CUID to access libraries. Alumni who wish to apply for a Community CUID can find instructions on the Libraries’ website. Alumni with a Community CUID will still need to complete the registration form ahead of their visit and have a QR code to enter campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

The University Network ID (UNI) is a unique identifier assigned to each University student, faculty, researcher, or administrator, consisting of your initials and arbitrary numbers. Your UNI is used to provide access to Columbia University's systems and services.

You can go to this webpage to look up your UNI and reset your password.

We recommend you confirm you can log in to the campus registration portal with your UNI and password before planning your visit to the Morningside Campus. Many alumni can recover their UNI and password online quickly and easily. However, if you’ve never used your UNI before or do not have account recovery set up, there may be additional steps to verify your identity.

Contact the Alumni Center Team if you need assistance: 212-851-7800 or [email protected].

Multifactor authentication (MFA) uses multiple proofs of identity to ensure you are authorized to access the service or resource that you are requesting. It provides security to your account that a password alone cannot. Multifactor authentication is required for all Columbia logins.

How do I set up MFA?

Columbia University Information Technology (CUIT) has directions for alumni about how to set up MFA for the first time and on a new device. If you have challenges setting up MFA, reach out to CUIT for support.
