Led by expert guides, discover how these lands were shaped by ancient Greeks, Lycians, Romans, Crusaders, Byzantines, Jews, and Ottoman Turks.

On Cyprus, encounter the dazzling legacies of a myriad of cultures, from Neolithic ruins and Roman art to a 16th-century Ottoman roadside inn and some of the world’s finest Byzantine frescoes in a mountainside 11th-century church. Walk in the Apostle Paul’s footsteps to a church he co-founded in Paphos, the birthplace of Aphrodite, and learn about Cyprus’s role in early Christianity. Mystery and intrigue await in Turkey. Board glass-bottom boats for a spellbinding guided perspective on the submerged ancient city of Simena in shimmering Kekova Bay and uncover ancient Lycian culture, exploring their distinctive cliff-cut tombs in Xanthos, the Lycian capital.

Witness enchanting living history on Rhodes, where an expert will guide you through one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval walled cities, built by the Knights of St. John. In Bodrum, Turkey, the wondrous Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, will evoke a grand sense of awe. Tour the Knights of St. John’s medieval castle, a world-renowned center for underwater archaeology, including exquisite medieval glassware from a sunken Byzantine ship.
