A Guide to Diversity and Inclusion in the 21st Century Workplace

Michael Fox

This book is a guide for attorneys, judges, and businesspeople regarding the major issues of diversity and inclusion in the 21st Century. The first chapter reviews the provisions of the main federal and New York State laws concerning provisions of anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and anti-retaliation.

The remaining chapters deal with protection for sexual orientation, the issue of equal pay, the current status of the federal Equal Rights Amendment, the Americans with Disabilities Act and provisions under the federal Family Medical Leave Act and New York State Paid Leave, and the law as it pertains to the accessibility of websites for those with qualifying disabilities. The book concludes with specific scenarios and hypotheticals for analysis, involving concepts addressed in the preceding chapters.
