This picture book presents a wide array of sea creatures inside their ecological contexts, with an eye towards aesthetically pleasing, semi-abstract compositions of shape and color having a purely artistic merit. Interspersed with photographs from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, the Gulfs of California and Mexico, and the Caribbean and Moluccan Seas, are several graphic art works derived from the images.
