Sailing from Brooklyn

William E. Browning

A novice sailor and his wife buy a 29-foot sailboat, moor it in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn. She does not sail and is sent to the BVI to learn the basics of boat handling. The memoir details their adventures in setting up the boat and sailing adventures through the waters from the Chesapeake Bay and Newport, RI. It includes narratives of the author's two solo sails around Long Island.
