Wolf is a book of nostalgia for the New York of the 1970s and is a charming family story not about dysfunction but about the humorous dramas of everyday life. It is also a story about a young Malamute’s effect on the family that rescues his wild spirit from the streets. Above all, it is an intimate story about life before the technological revolution that has forever changed our lives. Some writers make New York their world, and Bruce Wiggins is one of them.

This wonderfully told story takes you back to New York City as it was 50 years ago. As a young man who lived in Manhattan in the 60s with a rather large and unruly but lovable dog, I could totally relate. Bruce Wiggins is a terrific storyteller, intelligent, funny, and charming. A great read and highly recommended.
