The Advanced Heart Failure Summit: From Cardiogenic Shock to Heart Transplant is a full-day, multidisciplinary program dedicated to the evolving management of advanced heart failure across the entire spectrum of care. This comprehensive symposium brings together leaders in cardiology, cardiac surgery, mechanical circulatory support, critical care, and transplantation to explore cutting-edge strategies, emerging technologies, and real-world clinical decision-making.

The program begins with an in-depth review of cardiogenic shock, including modern SCAI classification, phenotyping, risk stratification, device selection, advanced ECMO and Impella approaches, and complex case discussions. The morning continues with a forward-looking session on LVAD therapy, highlighting optimization of durable MCS, arrhythmia management, anticoagulation, prevention of driveline infection, use of CardioMEMS and novel monitoring tools, and future innovations in device technology.

Following a keynote address on training the next generation of Advanced HF specialists, the afternoon focuses on the latest advances in heart transplantation, including noninvasive monitoring (cfDNA, TTVR), tissue gene expression, desensitization strategies, management of AMR and CAV, multiorgan transplant considerations, transplant for amyloid cardiomyopathy, malignancy post-transplant, and CMV resistance.
