VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites you to join the leading educators from Columbia University, addressing an overview of high yield challenging scenarios in the management of AL Amyloidosis. Through a combination of lectures and case-based presentations, this course will deliver up-to-date and cutting-edge information that can be directly integrated into clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
-Discuss the diverse clinical presentations and symptoms associated with AL amyloidosis.
-Differentiate between the various organ involvements and their impact on the overall disease course.
-Summarize the diagnostic approaches for evaluating kidney involvement in AL amyloidosis.
-Evaluate the implications of renal dysfunction on disease prognosis and treatment decisions.
-Identify the cardiac manifestations of AL amyloidosis.
-Understand the diagnostic modalities for assessing cardiac involvement and the impact on patient outcomes.
-Summarize the current therapeutic options for AL amyloidosis, including chemotherapy, plasma cell (anti-CD38) therapy and immunomodulatory agents.
-Explore emerging therapies and novel approaches in the treatment of refractory AL amyloidosis.
