Join us for a Brick of Chicago Walking tour. Old Town is one of Chicago's most unique neighborhoods, with a blend of Victorian workers cottages, unique midcentury buildings, and massive modern homes. First built-up pre-fire by German immigrants, Old Town came to fame in the postwar years as a neighborhood of artists and preservation-minded homeowners - a complicated history that includes the destructive forces of fire and urban renewal, and the creative forces of eccentrics and star-chitects.
