Join host Chris Stacey, special guest Elena Liao, and fellow Columbia alumni for any evening of sociability and a fantastic tea tasting experience. Elena Liao is the owner of Té Company in New York City, and she sources exquisite teas directly from small farmers in Taiwan. For this tasting event, Elena provides us with 3-5 of her “iconic” wulong teas. We will taste these teas live in Chicago as Elena walks us through tea essentials via Zoom. We will explore styles ranging from bright high-mountain oolongs to charcoal-roasted profiles. As we trace each tea's journey from leaf to cup, you'll learn about your preferred flavors and brewing techniques.
