Columbia College Women is excited to launch CCW Builders — a new series spotlighting alumnae who build, whether founding companies of their own or building products, teams and institutions inside established ones. The series debuts as Columbia College marks the 40th anniversary of the first fully coeducational graduating class.
The series launches with Germaine Choe CC’95 in conversation with Dr. Tyeisha Chavis CC’08, TC’15, TC’18, TC’24, bringing together two founders who have built companies rooted in their expertise in education.
After opening remarks from CCW President Iyobosa Bello-Asemota CC’19, Choe will share her entrepreneurial journey from Columbia through consulting and publishing to founding Language Together, a company that creates foreign-language children’s books that have earned national awards and are in homes and classrooms around the world. Her conversation with Dr. Chavis, founder of leadership consulting firm New Heights Global, will explore the inspiration, challenges and lessons behind building a business while offering insights for aspiring entrepreneurs.
We hope you will join us as we kick off CCW Builders and celebrate the creativity, ambition and builder's spirit of College women! All alumni are invited to attend.
