Alumni Join ROARfest

On October 10, alumni joined current students, faculty, and staff at Columbia’s inaugural ROARfest—a day of school spirit, community, and fall fun. 

Sponsored by the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), Columbia Athletics, and University Life, the afternoon featured food trucks, snacks, giveaways, craft stations, and a basketball court, right on the South Lawn!

The Women’s and Men’s basketball teams played, other students participated in competition, and there were pick-up games open to all. Columbia’s football team was also on hand for a gameday walkthrough, and Acting President Claire Shipman ’86CC, ’94SIPA  joined in the festivities.

Students visiting the CAA-hosted tent on the South Lawn could decorate their own totebag, featuring a quote from a famous Columbian, and pick up a tasty snack.

It was a great opportunity for alumni and students to connect while enjoying a fun afternoon on campus.
