Columbia Alumni at Manhattanville Community Day 2025

June 18, 2025

The Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), led by the Programs Committee, joined other Columbia organizations and community vendors for Manhattanville Community Day on June 7.

Columbia School of Nursing volunteers hosted wellness stations focused on healthy eating, physical activity, and mental well-being, offering hands-on experiences for children and families.

The School of Dental Medicine contributed by providing oral health education and toothbrush giveaways, reinforcing healthy habits in a fun and approachable way.

Columbia Engineering shared information on their high school outreach and STEAM programs, along with interactive giveaways that sparked curiosity and excitement.

The AI-powered photo booth was the major hit of the day, transforming attendees into everything from cartoon characters to astronauts—with printed photo keepsakes to take home.

The CAA tent offered healthy snacks, interactive activities, and meaningful connections for alumni, families, and community members.

Over 20 alumni and their families joined the inaugural Alumni Engagement Hour and Lunch in Geffen Hall, creating a warm and collegial gathering before the day’s activities began.

Despite the rain, spirits remained high—volunteers and attendees stayed engaged, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive experience for all.
